Structure and Physical Properties of Materials at Liquid State

In this group, the liquid/solid structures, properties and heredity in materials processing are investigated systemically by a combination of state-of-the-art experimental techniques and theoretical approaches, which include molecular dynamics, ab initio, phase field and Monte Carlo methods. The group undertakes two NSFC key projects - “The behavior of the superheated metallic melts and glass forming ability”(50831003) and “The structural evolution and glass forming ability in bulk metallic glasses”(50631010). The group published two books - “The heredity in the casting metals” and “Liquid structure of metals”.
