6月4日上午10:00,材料科学与工程学院在千佛山校区西配楼321室举办“求材”学术论坛。此次论坛由山东大学研究生院、材料液固结构演变与加工教育部重点实验室及材料科学与工程学院共同主办,材料学院研究生会承办。应山东大学冯金奎副教授邀请,Donghai Wang教授为大家作了题为“Design and Engineering of Interfaces/Interphases for Stable Li Anodes”的报告。边秀房、王伟民、田耕、胡丽娜也出席了此次报告。

Donghai Wang教授讲解了锂硫电池、阳极锂合金的界面效应两方面内容。锂枝晶的产生会降低电池的性能,而在锂硫电池中,产生多硫化物,得到平整的界面,减少了锂枝晶的产生。然而锂硫电池需要很多的电解液,能量贮存在电解液中,使得Li-S键断裂所释放的能量减少。通过加入某种活性物质,可减少电解液的加入量,减少锂枝晶的产生,提高沉积形貌,得到稳定的界面,提高锂硫电池能量密度。

Donghai Wang为我院师生呈现了一场深入浅出的精彩汇报。报告结束后,与会师生纷纷就自己感兴趣的方面进行交流,学术氛围十分浓厚,大家都感到受益匪浅。

Donghai Wang is Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Chemical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. Before joining Penn State in 2009, he was a postdoc and subsequently became a staff scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratories where he developed functional materials for catalysis and energy storage techniques. He received a B.S. and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University and Tulane University in 1997 and 2006, respectively. Dr. Donghai Wang’s research interests have been related to design and synthesis of materials for a variety of applications. His recent research is focused on material development for energy conversion and storage technologies such as batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells and solar fuels. Professor Wang has authored and co-authored over 90 peer reviewed publications, more than 15 patents and patent applications, and 4 book chapters.
