五、报告内容简介：As one of the most promising candidates for power sources in electric vehicles and large-scale electrochemical energy storage, Li-ion batteries need to be further improved by solving problems related to safety issues, high cost, low rate capability, and low energy density. The development of new types of battery materials is therefore necessary. Advanced composite materials of Ge, Li4Ti5O12 and Li3VO4 composites will be introduced here.The rechargeable Li-S and Li-air batteries currently enjoy great scientific interest because theoretically, they can store significantly more energies, which possible exceed that of Li-ion batteries. Our recently work on Li-S batteries (S-carbon composites and S-conducting polymer composites) and Li-O2 batteries (Co-based and Pd-based cathode materials) will be presented in this seminar.
