报告摘要:
Researches on lead-free piezoelectric ceramics in Toyama Prefectural University (TPU) have been started for about ten years. After investigating high-performancelead-freebariumtitanatepiezoelectricceramicsprepared by the two-step sintering from 100 nm particles, our research focus was changed to potassium sodium niobate system lead-free piezoceramics, because we would like to develop some high-performancelead-freepiezoceramics that have Curie temperature higher than 200oC.
I think, there are three effective ways to improve the piezoelectric properties in lead-free piezoceramics by controllingmicrostructure. One is to designa composition near the tetragonal-rhombohedral morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) which slope should be almost vertical. The second is to fabricate grain orientatedceramics. The thirdis to control nano-domain structure.
In this talk, I will introduce our research results forthelead-free piezoceramics including vertical MPB, plate-like temperate preparation forgrain orientatedceramics, andnano-domain structure.
报告人简介:Tomoaki Karaki (Zhiming Chen)was born in Shanghai, China, in 1958. He received a B. Eng. degree from Shanghai University of Science and Technology in 1982, an M. Eng. degree from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1985, and a Ph.D. degree from Kyoto University in 1996. After joining Toyama Prefectural University in 1993, his research focused on single crystal growth, preparation of ceramics and films in piezoelectric, dielectric, and ferroelectric fields. Recently, he has published some research papers in Journals for the lead-free piezoceramics. He is the first researcher to adjustMPBslopeand successfully find out a vertical MPB composition in lead-free (K,Na,Li)NbO3-BaZrO3-(Bi,Na)TiO3ternary system with the Curie temperature above 270oC
